Life at the Smith house became even more hectic when fall arrived and school was back in session. Pierre cared for the twins on his own during the day while Aidan taught his students, and then an exhausted Pierre often went to bed early while Aidan took over nighttime toddler care.

Clover Gates was relieved to finally get out of her parents’ house. At last, she could do whatever she wanted without anyone getting into her business. It was just her and her dog Pepper, who she had recently bought from the Lloyd family.
